Men’s Ministry Purpose Statement

Our mission is to call the men of our congregation to accept the mantle of leadership in their journey of becoming disciples of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our church needs men who will lead courageously, accept great responsibility, and reject passivity. Our goal is a male resurgence within the church, but not male dominance. Our Men’s Ministry will accomplish this through scriptural learning and teaching combined with fellowship and service. As Christian men and leaders, we are also called to aid those members of our congregation who are troubled, ill, or in need.

A Vision for Men

Building Godly Men Together

Here at FSBC, the Men’s Ministry is also dedicated to helping our church reach outside the congregation to gather more men. We have a strong, evangelical vision that is:

Relational

One life impacting another (Matthew 4:19) “And he said to them ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men’”

Transformational

Comprehensive life change (Romans 12:2) “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Missional

The Great Commission is not optional (Matthew 28:19-20) “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”

Generational

Every man is a spiritual father (2 Timothy 2:2) “…and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to each others also.”
